Body By Vi Shake Recipe: Strawberry Banana Julius
Lately I'm into fruity shakes more than sweet. Anything with orange juice is always a winner! This is one of my all time favorite combos.
If you make this shake thick enough (try freezing your sliced banana or bumping up the amount of frozen strawberries) you can eat it like a soft sherbet! This makes a pretty large smoothie or 2 smaller ones.
1 c. Orange Juice (or Trop50 if you are counting calories)
2 scoops Visalus shake mix (or another protein powder. Visalus is flavored "sweet cream")
1 banana
8-10 frozen strawberries
Blend until smooth. Adjust the amount of orange juice or strawberries to get your preferred consistency. Looks like in the picture I may have used frozen raspberries, which was also great! Raspberry Banana Julius was a good variation :)
Total calories with strawberries and real orange juice: 330.
Total calories with Trop50: 270
Check out some of my other favorite shake recipes including Almond Joy, Chocolate Avocado, and Orange Mango Pineapple.
